Banff, Alberta: , [circa 1900]. Near fine. Original B/W photograph 16 X 10 inches (40.64 X 25.4 cm). In 1.5 inch wooden frame measuring 22.5 X 18.5 inches. Frame has a bit of wear. Bone matting. With the photograph comes a postcard of the same image which is in near fine condition with no writing on back. A nice set.

A nice strong image depicting a Native chief atop his horse, with his hands on his hips. He is in full decrative dress including a feather head dress. Taken in the forest, not a studio portrait. Strong contrast. A beautiful image.
